Useful tips for your trip to Boyacá: you should wear comfortable shoes, as you will walk a lot on cobblestone streets and trails, especially if you plan hikes like those to the Eagles' Cliffs. You need to bring warm clothing because the weather in Boyacá can be cool, especially in the mornings and evenings. You should use sunscreen and carry water, as the sun is strong in many areas and you don’t want to get dehydrated. You should also bring some cash because not all small shops, restaurants, or bakeries accept cards. If you plan to visit popular places like Villa de Leyva or the Iza hot springs on weekends, you need to book your accommodation in advance; otherwise, you might not find a place to stay. You should respect local customs and traditions, and you don’t have to worry about safety if you take basic precautions, like keeping your belongings close. Also, you should not litter in natural areas.

MY TRAVEL EXPERIENCE
I had an amazing experience with some friends. We went to Boyacá and started our trip in Iza, a small colonial town. When we arrived, we walked through its cobblestone streets and went to its hot springs, which come from a large volcano you have to try them. The hot water was very relaxing and we spent hours enjoying the surroundings. We also visited local shops and bought handicrafts. The next day, we took a two-hour hike to Las Peñas de las Águilas in Firavitoba. The place is located on a mountain and features a beautiful waterfall and natural pools, which allowed us to have full contact with nature. During the hike, we were surprised to find bats in a cave. It was a trip full of surprises, and I would love to go back soon.
